Astute's Power Team - DCS Engineer

Astute's Power Team is collaborating with a leading Waste Management company in the UK to recruit a DCS Engineer for a large Energy from Waste plant.

This vital role involves managing the plant's control system, the 'nerve centre' of the facility. The engineer will oversee continuous improvement programs to enhance reliability, availability, and efficiency while minimizing costs.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Report to the Engineering Manager and assume responsibility for the entire DCS system.
• Oversee maintenance, fault finding, troubleshooting, and loop additions in the DCS.
• Assist the EC&I department with daily activities and system adjustments to improve plant performance.
• Identify and implement modifications and improvements to the plant.
• Manage, forecast, and review the O&M budget.
• Plan outages, inspections, and maintenance activities, ensuring safety, timeliness, and budget adherence.
