Job description

ERM, the world's largest pure play sustainability consultancy, is looking for a talented Stakeholder Manager in Capital Project Delivery. You’d sit at our Managing Consultant career level which is in between Senior and Principal Consultant. Hybrid working is available from any of our 16 UK offices, although you’ll be best connected with your team if based in Manchester, Bristol or London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage programmes of stakeholder engagement on DCO infrastructure projects, including scope and budget.
  • Help manage Impact Assessments (e.g. Environmental Impact Assessments, Community Impact Assessments, Socio-Economic Assessments, Health Impact Assessments).
  • Work closely with the wider Capital Project Delivery team Project Managers, EIA managers and Planners to ensure alignment with consenting requirements.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement interface with clients and provide advice around consultation activities.
  • Report writing and production of materials to support engagement and consultation activities e.g. plans, consultation materials and summary reports.
  • Undertake engagement with project stakeholders across local authorities, government, statutory and non-statutory bodies.
  • Contribute to business development activities including proposals, client presentations, and technical marketing initiatives.
Essential Skills
  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline such as Environmental, EIA, Planning, Sustainability, ESG.
  • Experienced with UK Infrastructure Projects and Impact Assessments.
  • Knowledge of UK planning regimes e.g. TCPA, solid DCO experience is essential.
  • Experience working in a Consultancy environment.
  • Strong project management experience and skills including scopes of work and budgets.
  • Comfortable and confident engaging with all types of stakeholders, including clients and attending village hall meetings with communities.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
  • Research, analytical and inter-personal skills with diligent attention to detail.
