We are currently looking for a

Security Officer to be part of the Security Department in our Distribution Centre based in Bedford. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Security, with a good understanding of the industry. We have a 48-hour night shift position.

Set Shift Pattern: Sunday - Wednesday, 19:00 - 07:00.

The role of a Distribution Security Officer can be challenging but also rewarding, offering great support. Our ideal candidate will be vigilant, assertive, a helpful team player, and passionate about security.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Control all site access
• Book vehicles in and out of the site
• Write incident reports
• Conduct vehicle and colleague searches
• Respond quickly when security intervention is needed
• Complete internal and external patrols during shifts
• Perform daily and weekly audits
• Engage in physical activity as required

Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

Experience in a similar role, strong written communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Data Protection laws and Health & Safety regulations is preferred. Experience in conflict management and incident reporting is also desirable. The candidate should have a resilient personality and handle challenging situations professionally. An SIA Licence is preferred but not essential.
