Job description

Job Introduction

We’re looking for a highly capable Distribution Centre Planning and Performance Manager to join our logistics leadership team — based at our Amesbury Distribution Centre.


Reporting to the Depot General Manager, this senior role is critical in ensuring that planning, optimisation, and performance within the distribution centre are aligned with business objectives and delivered in a cost-effective, timely, and efficient manner.


You’ll be responsible for shaping warehouse planning strategies, monitoring and improving KPIs, and embedding best practice to drive continuous improvement. By working collaboratively with operational teams, IT, and senior stakeholders, you’ll ensure each distribution centre remains scalable, efficient, and future-ready as the business continues to grow.

Job Overview


  • Warehouse Planning - Implement warehouse strategies, optimising space, inventory flow, and workforce planning to meet business needs and peak demands.

  • Performance Monitoring & Analysis - Define and track KPIs, analyse operational data, and provide reports with recommendations to improve service, cost, and efficiency.

  • Process Optimisation & Continuous Improvement - Lead initiatives that streamline processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and drive a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Resource Management - Plan and allocate labour, equipment, and space effectively, ensuring the right skills and training are in place for operational delivery.
