  • 5 years post-registration experience preferred.
  • Experience in leading DBT initiatives is beneficial.

Responsibilities

A fantastic new job opportunity has arisen for a committed DBT Specialist Practitioner to work in an exceptional hospital based in the Wellington, Somerset area.You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers

This special hospital provides care to men and women with mental health conditions in a modern and purpose-built hospital with low and medium secure environments

**To be considered for this position you must have 2 years of experience working in a similar role**

As the DBT Specialist Practitioner your key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting patients in creating and updating their Behavioural Incentive Pathway
  • Carrying out coaching and DBT awareness enhancement on the DBT pathway
  • Providing written details of the client's progress within DBT (CPA reports and care notes)
  • Attending ICR and CPA meetings and feedback progress for each of your clients.Also attending reflective practice and use this space actively
  • Assessing patients who have been referred to the service and provide an assessment report
  • Supporting in full adherence to the DBT model and service model
  • Enabling and encouraging others to suggest change, challenge tradition and share good practice with other areas of the service and/or organisation
  • Providing supervision/mentoring of less experienced therapists and Therapy Care Assistants

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

  • Experience of leading, implementing and reviewing DBT initiatives in a related environment
  • 5 years post registration experience
  • Experience in DBT
  • Leadership and Management Skills

The successful DBT Specialist Practitioner will receive an excellent salary of £51,632 per annum.This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours a week.In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
