Deutsche Bank’s Rates business leads with scale and strength in providing asset and liability solutions to institutional and corporate clients globally.

You will join dbSelect – our award winning leading-edge managed account platform that services global institutional investors and alternative investment managers. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of systematic trading, alternative investments, and structured product innovation within one of the most dynamic areas of the Investment Bank.

You will play a central role in strategy onboarding, client portfolio implementation, risk monitoring and daily execution. The role will involve working closely with traders, structuring, sales, external investment managers and control functions.

Your key responsibilities

• Facilitate, monitor, risk manage trading activity that occurs through the dbSelect platform
• Supporting execution of the trading strategy for the relevant product/sector/market/region
• Monitoring and overseeing significant risk positions across the range of complex mathematical financial risk parameters of the trading book
• Product development and platform enhancements to add new offerings for investors and external investment managers. Hedging risks associated with trading structured products on hedge fund return streams
• Improvement of our trading processes
• Interacting with clients, sales and internal counterparties in other trading, coverage and structuring functions to increase market transparency and to generate new business

Your skills and experience

• Experience in financial markets, ideally within trading, prime brokerage, asset management, structuring or hedge fund services
• Strong understanding of alternative investment strategies and managed account structures
• Strong grasp of derivatives and familiarity with products across asset classes
• Highly analytical with strong Excel and programming skills
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and enthusiasm to grow
