Job summary

Workchain is seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver for daytime, temporary work in Immingham to transport cargo safely and efficiently.

You will follow planned routes, complete deliveries and collections, perform pre- and post-journey checks, and maintain clear communication with contacts during each journey.

The position requires an in-date HGV Class 1 entitlement, CPC, and tachograph card; drivers are paid every Wednesday with local opportunities to connect with employers through our driving network.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 entitlement.
• Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Professional and responsible driving approach.
• Excellent timekeeping.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete required documentation.
• Good awareness of road safety and vehicle checks.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and responsibly.
• Transport different types of cargo in line with instructions.
• Complete vehicle checks before and after journeys.
• Secure loads appropriately and report any issues.
• Follow road safety, transport and site procedures.
• Complete delivery and collection paperwork accurately.
• Maintain clear communication with relevant contacts during each journey.
• Take reasonable care of the vehicle and equipment.
