Job Description:

We are seeking enthusiastic, adaptable, and reliable Day-to-Day Teaching Assistant to provide high-quality teaching cover across local primary schools. This role is suitable for someone with previous experience working with children.

As a supply teaching assistant, you will step into classrooms with little notice and be expected to maintain a positive learning environment, support pupils 1:1, in small groups, or assist the class teacher.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe, positive learning environment
• Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents
• Be punctual, professional, and responsive to last-minute bookings
• Provide feedback to the school’s regular teacher or other supporting staff
• Adapt quickly to different school environments
• Hold an enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply)
• Reliable transport or willingness to travel between schools

Pay rates quoted include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with potential for permanency later.
