Want to work in education but not ready to dive into full-time teaching? Being a Cover Supervisor is a brilliant way to gain classroom experience, support young people, and build your confidence, all without the marking.

We’re working with a well-regarded secondary school in the South Gloucestershirearea that’s looking for a reliable, positive, and proactive cover supervisor to join their team in September.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Supervising pre-set lessons across a range of subjects

  • Supporting students with behaviour and engagement

  • Managing the classroom environment confidently and calmly

  • Being a go-to presence when teachers are absent

You don’t need QTS, just:
  • Experience working with young people (youth work, tutoring, coaching all count!)

  • Confidence speaking in front of groups

  • Great communication and timekeeping skills

  • A calm, approachable manner especially when things get lively
