Job summary

Lincat, a leading manufacturer of commercial catering equipment, is hiring a Components Stores Operative in Lincoln. You will handle receiving, storing, picking, packing and shipping goods in the Components Stores area on a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Responsibilities include unloading shipments, maintaining inventory, picking orders, packing securely, and ensuring accurate records. Safety and housekeeping are emphasized in daily duties.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items, stand for long periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Ensure accuracy in inventory management and order fulfilment.
• Ability to maintain an orderly workspace and manage time effectively.
• Effective verbal and written communication for coordinating with team members and reporting issues.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Certification to operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and processing shipments: unload, inspect, and verify against invoices and POs.
• Storage and inventory management: safely store items and conduct counts.
• Order picking: accurately pick items using pick lists and scanners.
• Packing and preparation: securely pack and label shipments with required docs.
• Order fulfilment: prepare orders for shipment and ensure accuracy.
• Shipping: prepare and load outbound shipments.
• Warehouse maintenance: keep the area clean and safe; operate equipment.
