Initial 6-month contract with potential to go permanent
Keep the depot clean, safe and ready for service while building valuable experience in the railway industry!
We are currently recruiting for Train Presentation Operatives to join a busy rail depot at Selhurst. This is a hands-on opportunity to become part of the team working behind the scenes to ensure the depot and train presentation areas are maintained to a high standard.
Working Monday to Friday from 07:45am to 14:45pm, you will carry out a range of cleaning and presentation duties to help maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment for colleagues and passengers.
Your duties will include sweeping and jet washing depot areas, using professional cleaning equipment and machinery, and maintaining staff facilities such as canteens, locker rooms and communal areas. You will work as part of a dedicated team, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards.
This is an active and physical role, so you will need to be comfortable being on your feet for most of the shift, lifting and carrying equipment and undertaking manual cleaning tasks. Experience within cleaning, facilities, industrial environments, transportation or a similar setting would be beneficial, but a strong work ethic, reliability and attention to detail are just as important.
You will receive the relevant training and equipment to carry out your duties safely and effectively. Flexibility is also valued, with opportunities to support additional shifts when required.
With a competitive hourly rate and the potential to move into a permanent position after the initial 6-month contract, this is a great opportunity to establish yourself within the railway sector and develop your experience within a busy depot environment.
Our client is a well-established and highly respected UK train operating company with a significant presence across London and the South East. The organisation is committed to delivering safe, reliable and high-quality rail services while maintaining excellent standards across its train presentation and depot operations.
By joining the team, you will play an important role in supporting the operation behind the scenes and helping ensure trains and facilities are maintained to the standards expected by passengers and colleagues. This is an environment where safety, teamwork, reliability and pride in your work are highly valued.
