Job summary

Care Assistant (Days) based at Aughton Park, Ormskirk, with MHA, is hiring to provide personal and social care to residents, supporting dignity and wellbeing. You will work as a keyworker, contribute to care plans, and promote independence within a supportive, values-driven team.

The role requires empathy, reliability and good communication, with weekend shifts and a willingness to train up to Level 1/2 in social care. DBS checks are supported by the employer.

Qualifications

• You will bring respect and sensitivity for older people.
• Willingness to be trained (Level 1 or 2 in social care is encouraged).
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Caring nature with patience and empathy.
• Care experience is desirable, though not essential.

Responsibilities

• Act as a keyworker for a group of residents and support admissions.
• Participate in developing and reviewing individual care plans, including those for residents with dementia.
• Provide personal and social care in line with care plans, enhancing residents’ physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.
• Uphold safeguarding responsibilities, infection control, and health & safety practices.
