Job summary

Michael Caines Collection's Lympstone Manor is seeking a Day Porter to support our Front of House team. You will greet guests, assist with breakfast service, valet cars and provide concierge assistance to ensure a seamless guest experience in a luxury setting.

The ideal candidate is customer-oriented, pays great attention to detail, communicates in fluent English, and works well in a team while upholding high standards across service levels and hospitality.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality desirable.
• Proven experience in similar hotels desirable.
• Excellent spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Interact with guests in a professional and friendly manner.
• Provide a concierge service to guests on request.
• Assist with breakfast service/early morning trays as required.
• Provide a valeting service including parking, cleaning and polishing of cars.
• Offer luggage, shoe polishing and laundry assistance to guests.

We are looking for a Day Porter to join our Front of House team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the industry and the work they do and will consistently perform to the highest level ensuring all Lympstone Manor standards are met, they will work as a team to provide the very best possible levels of customer service providing the guest with an unforgettable stay. Proven experience in the industry and similar hotels desirable.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Interacting with customers in a professional and friendly manner
• Providing a concierge service to guests on request
• Assisting with breakfast service/early morning trays as required
• Providing a valeting service to all guests, including parking, cleaning and polishing of cars
• Offering all guests assistance where possible, including luggage, shoe polishing and laundry services

• Situated in the heart of Devon, Lympstone Manor sits between Exeter and Exmouth and overlooks the Exe Estuary. Our address is Lympstone Manor, Courtlands Lane, Exmouth, EX8 3NZ.

Can I get to Lympstone Manor via public transport?

• You can take the coastal train from Exeter St. Davids or Exeter Central train stations, take the Exmouth train and exit at Lympstone village. It is a 15 minute walk to Lympstone Manor from the train station.

Do I need the right to work in the UK?

• In line with the requirements of the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK. As part of the recruitment process, you will be asked to provide documented evidence of eligibility.

Do you provide employee accommodation?

• The hotel may be able to offer on-site staff accommodation, in order to help the newest members of the team re-locate and settle in.
