About the Role

If you're a Senior Instrument Technician ready to step up into real ownership of maintenance, safety, and plant performance, this is a live operational site where that responsibility is genuinely on offer.

This permanent opportunity is with an established operator in the energy sector seeking someone to take charge of day-to-day maintenance delivery and plant reliability on a live site.

About the Site

This is a major site within the energy security infrastructure, operating at a high tempo year-round. The plant follows a seasonal cycle-building up capacity during quieter months and running at peak performance during high-demand winter periods.

There is a constant pipeline of maintenance, shutdown, and improvement work to maintain output, alongside ongoing investment in the plant's future. This results in evolving challenges for the maintenance and engineering teams as the plant scales.

  • Supporting reporting, scheduling, and resource planning

  • Driving maintenance performance, safety, and compliance standards

  • Background in instrumentation or electrical at NVQ/apprenticeship level

  • Strong knowledge of plant maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, and control & instrumentation (C&I) systems

  • Experience in energy, process, or industrial environments

  • Understanding of ATEX/DSEAR and hazardous area requirements
