Job summary

Pertemps Birmingham Industrial is seeking an experienced Minibus Driver for a Day Centre in South Birmingham. You will transport service users safely between homes and the centre, with split shifts from 07:00 to 16:00.

This long-term, ongoing role offers flexible opportunities and full training. A valid D1 licence and prior minibus experience are essential, along with an enhanced DBS check and reliable, patient conduct.

Qualifications

• Full D1 licence entitlement is essential.
• Previous minibus driving experience is essential.
• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Good communication skills and a patient, caring approach.
• Reliable, punctual and professional.
• Wheelchair clamping experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Collect service users from their homes and transport them safely to the day centre.
• Return service users home at the end of the day.
• Work split shifts between 07:00 and 16:00, covering morning and afternoon journeys.
• Ensure passengers are transported safely, respectfully and on time.
• Assist service users when boarding and leaving the vehicle where required.
• Carry out basic vehicle checks and maintain a high standard of safety.
