Job Title: Day Centre Support Worker
Location: Lisburn
Salary: £12.31 per hour
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm
Contract Type:Temporary

We are recruiting Day Centre support workers to provide a welcoming, safe, and stimulating environment for adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs and older adults. We focus on person-centred care, promoting social inclusion, skill development, and well-being.

The Role:
We are looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic, and proactive Day Centre Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will support service users in a variety of activities, both within the centre and in the community, helping them to build confidence, engage socially, and maintain their independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support tailored to individual needs

  • Assist with personal care, mobility, and mealtime support as required

  • Plan and participate in meaningful activities such as arts & crafts, music, outings, and life skills sessions

  • Promote dignity, choice, and independence at all times

  • Maintain accurate records and work closely with families and professionals

  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all

What We’re Looking For:

  • 6 months previous experience in a healthcare setting in the UK

  • A caring and patient attitude

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Flexibility and willingness to engage in a wide range of activities

  • Willingness to complete Enhanced Access NI

  • NISCC registered or willingness to register
