A leading company seeks a Datacenter Engineer to develop and maintain new mobility test labs, integrating networking solutions and providing support to teams. Candidates will manage infrastructure while collaborating across functions, offering opportunities for innovation and optimization in a hybrid work environment.
One team. Global challenges. Infinite opportunities. At Viasat, we’re on a mission to deliver connections with the capacity to change the world. For more than 35 years, Viasat has helped shape how consumers, businesses, governments and militaries around the globe communicate. We’re looking for people who think big, act fearlessly, and create an inclusive environment that drives positive impact to join our team.
The Mobility lab team is responsible for the creation of new environments, as well as the operational support of existing ones. The team works closely with other maritime, and aircraft system datacenter engineers to build and support reliable, compliant, and operational labs that Viasat’s developers, test teams and customers can use. This role is a hybrid work role but weekly onsite work is required. This role may require occasional travel, including international travel.
The Datacenter engineer will help build and maintain new mobility test and development labs for the internal and external customers. In addition, the engineer will build out and maintain the internal infrastructure and systems that provide the services the mobility labs are built. This requires integration with existing network and deployed systems and documenting the as-built procedures as well as a framework for supporting the deployed systems. You will work directly with other datacenter engineers to deploy these systems as well as cross-team with professionals from other functions that will assist in network integration.
