Job summary

Primark is seeking an experienced Solution Architect - Data & Databricks to join our Technology Architecture function on an initial 6-month contract (Inside IR35). The role supports large-scale transformation across data, technology and digital platforms, with hybrid working in Reading or Dublin.

You will shape and deliver Primark's Databricks Lakehouse architecture, enable scalable, secure, cost-effective data solutions, and guide engineering teams through CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code while

Qualifications

• 8+ years in technology roles.
• 5+ years designing enterprise-scale data tech solutions.
• Experience across SDLC and governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver enterprise-scale data solutions across platforms and domains.
• Define and evolve Databricks Lakehouse architectures, environments and governance.
• Embed CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure-as-code with engineering teams.
• Ensure security, resilience, performance and cost controls.
• Communicate architectural decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
