Job summary

Arcus Search is seeking an experienced Database Platform Engineer to design, build, operate database platforms across on-premise infrastructure and AWS. You will own automation, performance tuning, and scale engineering workloads in a fast-growing fintech environment.

You will collaborate with software and platform teams, drive monitoring and reliability, and help advance operational excellence for mission-critical databases.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL or CockroachDB.
• Experience operating database platforms at scale.
• Strong Linux and Python skills.
• IaC experience using Terraform, Ansible or similar.
• Kubernetes and container platform experience.
• AWS experience.
• Strong understanding of automation and platform engineering principles.

A leading financial technology firm is looking to appoint an experienced Database Platform Engineer to join its growing Platform Engineering team.

Working across both on-premise infrastructure and AWS, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and operating highly available database platforms that support large-scale engineering workloads. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys automation, performance tuning, and solving complex infrastructure challenges.

The role

• Develop automation using Python, Terraform, and Ansible
