Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Worked upon ASE 12.5 and above version and Replication Server 12.6 and above.
  • Worked on implementation of security controls for Sybase Servers and Instances.
  • Experience of integrating ASE 16 with external key management systems for full transparent data encryption (TDE).
  • Should have excellent communication skills.
  • Creation of Devices, Databases, Segments.
  • Backups of databases & logs.
  • User account management.
  • Performing Recovery of suspect databases.
  • Refresh of Databases in replication as well as non-replication environment.
  • Handling of jobs failures.
  • Troubleshooting Database error and performance Tuning.
  • Replication Server monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshooting includes check for the replication configuration, threads down, stable device full, RSSD log full, stop and restart threads, repagent and repservers.
  • Concern for Order and Quality.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Balance and progress parallel activities.
  • Multi-threading tasks without confusion.
  • Demonstrates interpersonal and team skills, dedication, proactive thinking and working.
  • Good Communication and presentation skills are a must for interviewing end users.
  • Perfect Speaking and Writing in English is a must.
  • Ability to develop a quick understanding and knowledge of business requirements.
  • Knowledge of English is a MUST.
  • To provide support for on call escalations and doing root cause analysis of given issues.
  • To independently resolve tickets within agreed SLA of ticket volume and time.
  • To adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Work on value adding activities such as Knowledge base update & management, Training freshers, coaching analysts.
  • To ensure positive customer experience and CSAT through First Call Resolution and minimum rejected resolutions / Reopen Cases.
