Job summary

Elite FinTech Firm in London is seeking a highly skilled PostgreSQL DBA to help build a zero-downtime, low-latency database infrastructure. You will work with a team of engineers and contribute to a new high-performance time-series database architecture.

You will automate many aspects of the data stack, design PostgreSQL solutions, and optimise performance for scale. The role offers hybrid work in London and an industry-leading package with substantial bonus potential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of PostgreSQL administration required.
• Knowledge of performance tuning is a plus.
• Knowledge of Linux is essential.
• Exposure to Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, Puppet, Chef, CI/CD, Docker, Prometheus is desirable.
• Exposure to Python, C#, or PowerShell is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain zero-downtime, low-latency database infrastructure as part of a engineers team.
• Automate processes and workflows across the data stack.
• Contribute to the build of a new high-performance time-series database (similar to ClickHouse).
• Design and provision new PostgreSQL solutions and architectures.
• Tune performance and optimise systems for scale and reliability.

An Elite FinTech Firm is looking for highly talented Database Administrator with strong PostgreSQL experience to join an elite group in group of individuals.

Role:

• Working as part of a team of engineers looking after and building a zero-down time low latency database infrastructure


• Automating anything and everything


• Working on a new build of a custom high performance time series database (Similar to Clickhouse)


• Working heavily in PostgreSQL as well as provisioning/designs new solutions


• Performance tuning/optimisation

Skills:

• 5+ years of PostgreSQL administration is essential


• Knowledge of performance tuning is a plus


• Knowledge of Linux is essential


• Knowledge of some of the following is a plus: Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, Puppet, Chef, CI/CD, Docker, Prometheus etc.
