Job summary

慨正橡扯 is looking for a Database Administrator to join our team in Central London or Manchester. You will install and configure database binaries, automate DBA tasks, and troubleshoot database issues in an on-site environment.

Qualifications

• Administration experience in database technologies such as Oracle, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL.
• Experience in OS like RHEL and Windows Server.
• Knowledge of database replication and recovery procedures.

Database Administrator

Location: Central London or Manchester - on site 5 days a week.

Role responsibilities

• Installing and configuring database binaries
• Writing and maintaining scripts to automate DBA tasks
• Investigating and implementing automation of processes
• Perform routine, periodic, and proactive operation and monitoring
• Troubleshoot database related issues
• Perform patching and upgrades to ensure data security

Desirable Skills and Technologies

• Administration experience in a database technology such as Oracle, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc
• Experience of OS such as RHEL and Windows Server
• Experience in cloud technologies such as AWS and AWS database.
• Migrations into AWS
• Experience in Ansible
• Knowledge of database monitoring tools, such as OEM and Nagios
• Experience in scripting, such as Powershell and Bash
• Knowledge of database server clustering, failover, and disaster recovery
• Experience in database replication software, such as Data Guard, Replication Manager for PostgreSQL, and MongoDB ReplicaSets
• Experience in backup/recovery procedures and scripting
