Job description

Our client, a respected entity in the defence sector, is seeking a dedicated Database Administrator to join their team on a contract basis. This role is based in Preston, with a hybrid working arrangement that includes 1-2 days in the office over a 12-month contract term.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Delivering our 'Recruitment Hub' activities, including supporting managers in creating vacancy details within our technology systems and managing business approvals to prepare for recruitment.
  2. Supporting project work and organisational changes requiring data updates within our technology platforms.
  3. Managing data changes, maintaining data integrity, and working with stakeholders to address and correct data errors.
  4. Raising persistent data errors to the team leader or Data Quality Team for resolution.
  5. Collaborating with other teams and stakeholders dependent on data input and changes to improve data quality processes.
  6. Ensuring governance and control over data received and sent, including validation and peer review processes.
  7. Identifying data anomalies and taking appropriate corrective actions.
Job Requirements:
  • Experience working with data.
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths, English, and Science.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible approach to business needs.
  • High analytical and organisational skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
