Job description

Purpose:
To implement, maintain, and optimise database systems, ensuring they support business operations effectively and securely. Provide technical guidance, support service planning, and enhance user experience within the ICT team.

Key Responsibilities:
– Lead design and implementation of complex database projects.
– Manage database performance, security, recovery, and capacity.
– Provide technical advice and support to colleagues and management.
– Mentor junior staff and contribute to technical documentation.
– Conduct regular audits, upgrades, and performance tuning.
– Develop interfaces, routines, and ensure best practices and standards.
– Liaise with stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
– Support service delivery within SLAs and contribute to continuous improvement.
