Data Warehouse Developer

We are looking for a Data Warehouse Developer to join us in Worcester!

This is a hybrid role, with 3 days per week in the office, 2 working from home.

We rely on our Data Warehouse Developers to maintain and develop data warehouse platforms critical for daily business reporting. Working within our support functions, you’ll collaborate with a team committed to providing excellent support and achieving results.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support the design, development, and maintenance of new Business Intelligence capabilities aligned with the organisation's analytics strategy.
2. Assist the analytical community by providing data access, building, and maintaining semantic layers.
3. Transform data from SQL to MS Power BI.
4. Utilise SSIS / ETL tools to access new data sets for analytics in Power BI and SQL Server.
5. Translate business requirements into technical specifications and implement data access solutions for reporting and dashboards.
6. Develop and configure Power BI datasets and workspaces.
7. Collaborate to develop domain knowledge of key systems to maximize data value.
8. Work with Data Management to address data quality issues.
9. Manage code using DevOps/TFS.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• A degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Understanding of Business Intelligence tools and end-to-end data infrastructure.
• Strong SQL, SSIS, and Power BI skills.
• Knowledge of data integration, validation, and cleaning.
• Familiarity with complex data structures and analytical techniques.
• Experience in developing BI tools and analytical products.
• Experience with data warehousing solutions is a plus.
