We are building something special at Alpine Endurance Team.

As part of the Alpine long-term plan to compete in the World Endurance Championship (WEC), we are looking to expand our talented team with motivated individuals who are committed to our relentless pursuit of excellence.

Within the Trackside Engineering Team, we have a rare opportunity for a Senior Performance Engineer - Data System Engineer.

Role

Reporting to the Head of Trackside Engineering, the Data System Engineer will manage all activities related to data, IHM (interface human-machine), and the global reliability of the car. The role involves working closely with mechanics on sensor calibration, EBS bleeding, and other processes. During races, the engineer manages energy and fuel aspects and is responsible for fuel capacity and weight management.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will hold an engineering or relevant degree with a strong understanding of racing car systems. They should be proficient in data software and possess some programming knowledge to automate analysis tools. Experience working directly with engineers on a car, and the ability to handle the pressures of racing, are essential.

Additional Requirements

  • A good knowledge of software used within Alpine Endurance Team, such as HHDM, MM Wintax & Sysma, MATLAB, VBA, is an advantage.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Endurance trackside experience (WEC, ELMS, Asian LMS, Formula 1, Formula E, etc.) is highly recommended.
  • Solid knowledge of LMP-style cars is essential.
  • Fluent in English; French language skills are a plus.
