As part of the Alpine long-term plan to compete in the World Endurance Championship (WEC), we are looking to expand our talented team with motivated individuals who can contribute significantly to our relentless pursuit of excellence.

Within the Trackside Engineering Team, we have a rare opportunity for a Senior Performance Engineer.

Data System Engineer - The Role

Reporting to the Head of Trackside Engineering, the Data System Engineer will manage all activities related to data, IHM (interface human machine), and the global reliability of the car. The role also involves working closely with mechanics on processes such as sensor calibration and EBS bleeding. During races, the engineer manages energy and fuel aspects and is responsible for fuel capacity and weight management.

Data System Engineer - The Person

The successful candidate will hold an engineering or relevant degree and have a strong understanding of system operations and the functioning of racing cars. They should be proficient in data software and possess some programming knowledge to automate analysis tools. The candidate will work directly with engineers on one car, managing the pressures inherent in racing environments.

Additionally, the candidate will possess:

  • Good knowledge of software used within Alpine Endurance Team, such as HHDM, MM Wintax & Sysma, MATLAB, VBA (advantageous)
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Endurance trackside experience (WEC, ELMS, Asian LMS, Formula 1, Formula E, etc.) is highly recommended
  • Strong knowledge of LMP-style cars is essential
  • Fluent in English; French is a plus
