We are building something special at Alpine Endurance Team.

As part of the Alpine long-term plan to compete in the World Endurance Championship (WEC), we are looking to expand our talented team with individuals motivated to contribute significantly to our pursuit of excellence.

Within the Trackside Engineering Team, we have a rare opportunity for a Senior Performance Engineer.

Data System Engineer - The Role

Reporting to the Head of Trackside Engineering, the Data System Engineer will manage all activities related to data, IHM (interface human-machine), and the global reliability of the car. The role also involves working with mechanics on processes like sensor calibration and EBS bleeding. During races, the engineer manages energy and fuel aspects and is responsible for fuel capacity and weight management.

Data System Engineer - The Person

The successful candidate will hold an engineering or relevant degree and have a strong understanding of system operations and general racing car functioning. They should be proficient with data software and possess some programming knowledge to automate analysis tools. The candidate must enjoy working under pressure and be able to collaborate closely with engineers on one car.

Additional qualifications include:

  • Good knowledge of software used within Alpine Endurance Team, such as HHDM, MM Wintax & Sysma, MATLAB, VBA (preferred).
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Endurance trackside experience (WEC, ELMS, Asian LMS, Formula 1, Formula E, etc.) is highly recommended.
  • Solid knowledge of LMP-style cars is essential.
  • Fluent in English; French language skills are a plus.
