Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Endurance trackside experience highly recommended.

Within the Trackside Engineering Team, we have a rare opportunity for a Senior Performance Engineer.

Data System Engineer - The Role

Reporting to the Head of Trackside Engineering, the Data System Engineer will manage all activities related to data, IHM (interface human machine), and the global reliability of the car. The role involves working with mechanics on sensor calibration, EBS bleeding, and other processes. During races, the engineer manages energy and fuel aspects and is responsible for fuel capacity and weight management.

Data System Engineer - The Person

The successful candidate will hold an engineering or relevant degree and have a strong understanding of racing car systems. They must be proficient with data software and have some programming knowledge to automate analysis tools. The candidate will work directly with engineers on one car, managing the pressures of racing.

Additional requirements include:

• Good knowledge of software used within Alpine Endurance Team, such as HHDM, MM Wintax & Sysma, MATLAB, VBA (advantageous)
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Endurance trackside experience (WEC/ELMS/Asian LMS/Formula 1/Formula E, etc.) highly recommended
• Solid knowledge of LMP-style cars is essential
• Fluent in English; French language skills are a plus
