Qualifications

Job Description:

We are building something special at Alpine Endurance Team.

As part of our long-term plan to compete in the World Endurance Championship (WEC), we are looking to add talented individuals to our team who are motivated to contribute significantly to our pursuit of excellence.

Within the Trackside Engineering Team, we have a rare opportunity for a Senior Performance Engineer.

Data System Engineer - The Role

Reporting to the Head of Trackside Engineering, the Data System Engineer will manage all activities related to data, IHM (interface human machine), and the global reliability of the car. The role involves working closely with mechanics on sensor calibration, EBS bleeding, and other processes. During races, the engineer manages energy and fuel aspects, including fuel capacity and weight management.

Data System Engineer - The Person

The successful candidate will hold an engineering or relevant degree and possess a strong understanding of racing car systems. They should be proficient in data software and have some programming knowledge to automate analysis tools. The candidate must enjoy working under pressure and collaborate effectively with engineers on one car.

Additional qualities include:

  • Good knowledge of software such as HHDM, MM Wintax & Sysma, MATLAB, VBA (advantageous)
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Endurance racing experience (WEC/ELMS/Asian LMS/Formula 1/Formula E) is highly recommended
  • Strong knowledge of LMP-style cars is essential
  • Fluent in English; French is a plus
