As part of the Alpine long-term plan to compete in the World Endurance Championship (WEC), we are looking to expand our talented team with individuals motivated to contribute significantly to our relentless pursuit of excellence.

Within the Trackside Engineering Team, we have a rare opportunity for a Senior Performance Engineer.

Data System Engineer - The Role

Reporting to the Head of Trackside Engineering, the Data System Engineer will manage all activities related to data, IHM (interface human-machine), and the global reliability of the car. This includes involvement in processes and coordination with mechanics (sensor calibration, EBS bleeding, etc.). During races, they will manage energy and fuel aspects and oversee fuel capacity and weight management.

Data System Engineer - The Person

The successful candidate will hold an engineering or relevant degree and possess a strong understanding of system and global racing car functioning. They should be proficient with data software and have some programming knowledge to automate analysis tools. They will work directly with engineers on one car, managing the pressures of racing effectively.

In addition, they will possess:

  • Good knowledge of software used within Alpine Endurance Team, such as HHDM, MM Wintax & Sysma, MATLAB, VBA (advantageous).
  • At least 3 years of experience in this role.
  • Endurance trackside experience (WEC, ELMS, Asian LMS, Formula 1, Formula E, etc.) is highly recommended.
  • Solid knowledge of LMP-style cars is essential.
  • Fluent in English; French is a plus.

They should be self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work well under pressure. They will serve as a role model within the department, working to the highest standards in line with the company's values.
