As part of the Alpine long-term plan to compete in the World Endurance Championship (WEC), we are looking to add talented individuals to our team who are motivated to contribute significantly to our relentless pursuit of excellence.

Within the Trackside Engineering Team, we have a rare opportunity for a Senior Performance Engineer - Data System Engineer.

Role

Reporting to the Head of Trackside Engineering, the Data System Engineer will manage all activities related to data, IHM (interface human-machine), and the global reliability of the car. The role involves working closely with mechanics on sensor calibration, EBS bleeding, and other processes. During races, the engineer manages energy and fuel aspects and is responsible for fuel capacity and weight management.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will hold an engineering or relevant degree, with a strong understanding of racing car systems and functions. They should be proficient in data software and have some programming knowledge to automate analysis tools. The candidate must enjoy working under pressure and managing responsibilities for one car, collaborating effectively with engineers.

Additional Requirements

  • Good knowledge of software used within Alpine Endurance Team, such as HHDM, MM Wintax & Sysma, MATLAB, VBA is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Endurance trackside experience (WEC, ELMS, Asian LMS, Formula 1, Formula E, etc.) is highly recommended.
  • Well-founded knowledge of LMP-style cars is essential.
  • Fluent in English; French is a plus.
