Job Title: Data System Administrator
Location: Home-based (with occasional travel to Cardiff office)
Rate: £16.91 per hour
Contract: Temporary until 31st March 2026
Hours: 37 per week


About the Role:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Data System Administrator to join the People Management team within our client’s organisation. The role focuses on working with data and information systems to support HR, wellbeing, health & safety, and learning and development functions.

The successful candidate will spend most of their time managing, analysing, and reporting on data, ensuring accuracy and handling sensitive information with confidentiality. The role also involves providing technical support for HR systems and helping colleagues access the information they need to make key decisions.

This position is home-based for 90% of the time, but candidates must be able to travel to Cardiff when required.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Extracting, managing, and analysing data from HR systems.
  • Creating, maintaining, and updating reports and dashboards.
  • Investigating and resolving data/system issues.
  • Handling sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Supporting colleagues with technical/admin tasks.
  • Maintaining system procedures and documentation.
  • Liaising with internal teams and external system suppliers.

Requirements
  • Proven experience working with data, reporting, and system administration.
  • Expert-level skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workload independently.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team.
  • Experience handling confidential or sensitive information.
