Job Title: Data & Support Officer

Starting Salary: £30559 opportunity to progress to £33366 pa - pro rata for part time

Hours: 22.2 hours per week

Location: Hatfield and Hybrid working

Contract Type: Permanent

Directorate: Childrens Services

About The Team

For over 40 years Hertfordshire Music Service has successfully delivered musical opportunities to generations of young people throughout the county and many thousands of young people are involved in our weekly musical activities.

About The Role

As the Data Support Officer, you will monitor, collate, and analyse delivery and performance data, ensuring accuracy and meeting reporting requirements for ACE, HMS, funders, and partners.

  • Responsible for compiling, analysing, and submitting the Music Hub annual data return, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant guidelines and deadlines.
  • Work closely with the Head of Participation and school music to deliver the vision of the Music Hub.
  • Collect data from partner organisations in alignment with Arts Council England’s funding requirements.
  • Manage data preparation and reporting.
  • Lead the creation and implementation of surveys to collect data.
  • Accurately compile and process data from various sources.
  • Generate monthly and quarterly reports depicting trends and evolution.
  • Collate annual data return.
  • Collaborate with other departments to inform evidence.

About You

Essential:

  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Curiosity, confidence, and engagement in preparing data for diverse audiences.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and reliability of insights.
  • Excel and Microsoft Office software. Training will be provided for other required systems needed for the role.
  • Working independently and as part of a team.
