Base pay range

$75,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

Referment is working with a fast-growing FinTech firm that provides data-driven technology solutions to the investment management industry. They are looking for a Data Support Analyst to join their New York team, supporting a global client base of hedge funds, private equity firms, and asset managers.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a mix of technical problem-solving skills and financial data knowledge who enjoys client interaction and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

You’ll be part of a dynamic support team, ensuring data integrity and reliability across client platforms. This includes monitoring data feeds, troubleshooting application issues, and working directly with both clients and data providers. You’ll also collaborate closely with internal development and product teams to drive improvements in data processes and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and validate large data sets, investigating and resolving discrepancies, delays, or duplications

Support .Net and web-based financial applications in production environments

Manage onboarding of new clients and accounts, including reference data workflows and configuration

Write and manipulate SQL scripts to troubleshoot and resolve data issues

Liaise directly with clients and data providers to deliver timely resolutions and updates

Log and escalate bugs, collaborate with developers, and test fixes/new functionality

Create and maintain knowledge base documentation and user guides

What We’re Looking For

2+ years’ experience in data support, monitoring, or application support

Strong SQL (MS SQL) and Excel skills, with the ability to analyse and manipulate data

Experience working with financial applications or financial data platforms

Familiarity with tools such as Zendesk, Jira, Git, TFS, and RegEx

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-facing mindset

Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
