Morrisons is seeking a Data Scientist to drive value from data across operations from field to fork. You will build predictive models, optimise processes and translate analytics into actionable enterprise insights using a Google Cloud data platform.

You will combine mathematical rigour, software development, and statistical storytelling to solve business problems, supporting strategic decisions with data-driven evidence. The role emphasizes governance, privacy, and ethical AI.

Qualifications

• Strong programming in Python or R with SQL/Java/C++ familiarity.
• Deep knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics and tests.
• Experience building/productionising ML models.
• Advanced SQL for large-scale data profiling.
• Experience with Looker dashboards and data storytelling.
• Familiarity with Agile/Waterfall delivery.

Utilising our advanced Google Cloud data platform, the Data Scientist explores complex datasets across our operations from field to fork to build predictive models, optimise processes, and convert raw data into actionable enterprise value.
