Job summary

King's Service Centre invites an Integration Developer to design and implement scalable data integrations across critical systems. You will work with senior developers, architects, and data engineers to deliver modern, reliable solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with Microsoft Azure (Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, Functions, Data Factory) is desirable, with training provided for the right candidate. A strong foundation in RESTful patterns and data formats is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in a related field.
• Proven experience in Integration Developer or Data Developer roles.
• Experience designing and building integrations with REST/JSON/XML.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, version control and DevOps principles.
• Experience delivering design documentation such as HLD/LLD.

Join the Data Solutions team at King's Service Centre and play a key role in shaping and delivering the integrations that connect our critical systems and data across the organisation.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Integration Developer who will design, develop and implement secure, scalable and reliable integration solutions. You will work closely with senior developers, architects, data engineers and analysts, contributing to innovative projects and helping deliver modern, high-quality solutions in a collaborative and fast-moving environment.

Previous experience with Microsoft Azure is desirable but not essential; for the right candidate, we will provide the training and support needed to develop your skills and succeed in the role. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement scalable, secure, and efficient application integrations.
• Collaborate with architects, senior developers, managers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, define technical solutions, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
• Implement efficient processes for data integration, extraction, transformation, and loading to ensure seamless connectivity between systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, performance bottlenecks, and data inconsistencies.
• Create and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation, including integration workflows, configuration details, and error-handling processes.
• Adhere to best practices in code reusability, maintainability, and performance optimization.
• Leverage tools and processes for source control, continuous integration, and deployment to maintain high-quality delivery pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to coding standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide knowledge sharing and support to colleagues by offering training or upskilling in integration technologies where appropriate.
• Stay informed on industry trends and advancements in integration and data management technologies.

Key Skills & Experience Required

Essential:

• Bachelors/Post graduate degree.
• Proven experience in a relevant role, such as Integration Developer, Data Developer, or similar.
• Hands-on experience designing and building integrations with tools and technologies such as Logic-based application workflows, Event-driven architecture and message brokers, Cloud-based integration platforms and serverless functions, Data integration and ETL tools.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON/XML data formats, and integration patterns.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and DevOps principles.
• Experience delivering/Contributing to technical documentation such as High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD).
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and working within Agile teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team.
• A growth mindset with a willingness to learn and explore new technologies independently.

Desired

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Integration tools (e.g., Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, Functions, or Data Factory).
• Understanding of enterprise integration patterns and familiarity with event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of data quality, master data management, or metadata management concepts.
• Experience working with modern API management platforms.
• Exposure to Agile frameworks, such as SAFe Agile, Scrum, or Kanban.
• Knowledge of security principles for data transmission and integration workflows.
• Relevant certifications in integration technologies, cloud platforms, or DevOps practices (e.g., Microsoft Azure).
• Practical experience using Python for integration adapters, Azure Functions, automation, or testing.
• Working knowledge of Azure API Management (APIM), including policies, products, subscriptions, security, and API versioning.
• Practical awareness of modern API and service security, including Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth 2.0, Azure Key Vault, and role-based access control (RBAC).
• Awareness of modern lakehouse concepts and integration with layered data platforms, including Delta Lake and raw/curated data layers.
• Exposure to Spark / Databricks and PySpark or Spark SQL for collaborating with data engineering teams and troubleshooting end-to-end data flows.
• Experience with automated unit/integration testing, operational monitoring, alerting, runbooks, retries, and dead-letter handling for reliable integrations.
• Hands-on awareness of modern CI/CD and environment promotion using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Awareness of infrastructure-as-code approaches such as Bicep or Terraform and experience modernising legacy ETL or middleware solutions into cloud-native integration patterns.
