Job summary

Oliver James Group is seeking a Data Solution Architect in London to lead data architecture for a major reinsurance transformation. The role is a 12-month contract, hybrid with 2–3 days onsite, and outside IR35.

You will shape data integration strategies and technical solutions across Azure and Databricks, collaborating with senior leadership and vendors. The successful candidate will translate complex reinsurance requirements into scalable designs, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex data transformation programmes.
• Proven Azure and Databricks knowledge in enterprise data environments.
• Experience in reinsurance, ideally ceded or Lloyd's/London Market.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data architecture solutions for ceded reinsurance.
• Define data integration patterns, data flows and architectures.
• Collaborate with analysts, stakeholders and vendors through discovery and delivery.
