About the Role

EPAM is seeking a Data Solutions Architect with a strong background in enterprise stacks, specializing in various platforms with a focus on back-end systems, high-load environments, analytics, and digitization. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge in Data Strategy, Management, Architecture, Governance, Technology Architecture, Data Product Lifecycle Management, and cross-industry experience, particularly in Pharma or Financial Services.

This role is ideal for those eager to contribute to our growth in Western Europe.

Responsibilities

• Consult with business colleagues to identify requirements and unmet needs that can be addressed through Data Solutions
• Create and present solution architecture documents with detailed technical information to clients and implementation teams
• Lead the implementation of solutions from establishing project requirements to deployment
• Stay updated on technical solutions, architecture design trends, and best practices in data technologies
• Participate in pre-sale activities to prepare technical proposals
• Contribute to Data and Big Data initiatives through partnerships, training, and campaigns
• Enhance expertise by monitoring project experiences across various business domains to drive EPAM's data business

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Extensive experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks
• Familiarity with Machine Learning and Large Language Models (LLM)
• Experience in building Data Warehouses and Data Lakes
• Expertise in Data Quality, Data Modeling, and Analytics
• Experience with at least one Cloud provider (AWS, Azure) and traditional Data Platforms
• Knowledge of high load and high throughput Data Platform architectures
• Hands-on experience with Python/Scala/Java and SQL development
• Experience with continuous delivery tools and technologies
• Knowledge of Serverless Designs, MPP Architectures, Containers, and Resource Management systems
• Ability to research, compare, and select appropriate tools and technologies
• Strong communication skills and team coordination experience
