Job summary

Sammons Group is seeking a Data Services Actuary in Edinburgh, hybrid working arrangement. The role involves working on diverse projects with our de-risking team and supporting schemes preparing for buy-out or buy-in, using strong data analysis to guide client decisions.

Ideal candidates are PQ/FQ actuaries with knowledge of DB pension schemes and an interest in de-risking exercises. We promote diversity and welcome all applications.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DB pension schemes and other occupational schemes.
• Actuarial qualification or part qualification in progress.
• Interest in pension scheme de-risking.

Responsibilities

• Provide client-focused analysis to support informed decisions.
• Share technical expertise within project teams and with clients.

About the role

Excellent opportunity for PQ/FQ actuaries within exciting Project driven data role, with strong client focus.

• Working on a variety of projects; alongside our market-leading de-risking team to assist schemes as they prepare for buy-out/buy in, assisting with GMP data preparedness
• Help clients make good decisions based on insightful analysis
• Provide technical expertise across a wide-ranging project team, assisting with technical issues internally and direct with clients

About you

• Good knowledge of DB pension schemes, along with working knowledge of other occupational pension schemes.
• Qualified or part qualified actuary.
• An interest in pension scheme de-risking exercises.
