Job description

As a Data Scientist at Meta, you will shape the future of products across our family of applications, including Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, and Oculus. By applying your technical skills, analytical mindset, and product intuition to one of the world's richest data sets, you will help define experiences for billions of users and hundreds of millions of businesses globally.

Responsibilities
  1. Define new opportunities for product impact and influence product and sales strategies to solve impactful market problems.
  2. Utilize quantitative analysis and data presentation skills to understand user interactions with growth products.
  3. Collaborate with product teams to solve problems, identify trends, and discover opportunities.
  4. Support product decisions and launches in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  5. Set KPIs, design and evaluate experiments, and monitor key metrics to understand root causes of changes.
  6. Conduct exploratory analysis to discover new opportunities, understand ecosystems, user behaviors, and long-term trends.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent experience.
  2. 4+ years of experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), and/or statistical software (e.g., R).
  3. 4+ years of experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches, understanding ecosystems, user behaviors, and leading data-driven projects from definition to execution.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field.
