Job Description:

Synechron is looking for a Senior Data Scientist / ML Engineer to join their Data and AI Practice to work on a multi-year AI programme within a leading financial institution.

The primary responsibility is to extract actionable insights from complex data using advanced statistical analysis, machine learning, and data modeling to support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms
• Extract meaningful insights from large, complex datasets
• Deploy and maintain models using MLOps best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs
• Utilise data visualisation tools to communicate findings effectively
• Work with SQL and cloud platforms (Azure) for data management and deployment
• Apply expertise in computer vision, large language models (LLMs), and statistical analysis

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Python and machine learning libraries
• Understanding of machine learning algorithms and model training/deployment
• Experience with computer vision and LLM applications
• Skills in statistical analysis and data visualisation techniques
• Hands-on experience with SQL and Azure cloud platform
• Knowledge of MLOps practices for scalable and reliable model deployment
• Excellent analytical and communication skills

Project details: Multi-year project, flexible start date, competitive rates, London-based (3 days in office), FTE or Contract.
