Data Scientist - Manchester

A leading company in Manchester is seeking a Data Scientist with experience in creating financial models, machine learning, SQL, Python, and forecasting.

As the Data Scientist, you will define and shape financial modelling and forecasting to enhance decision-making, target acquisition, and promote profitable growth. The role requires strong skills in SQL, Python, and R, with a particular emphasis on SQL.

Experience with Machine Learning is highly desirable, as the company plans to expand in this area in the coming years.

Experience required

• Proven experience in predictive modelling, forecasting, and analytics with strong SQL, Python, and R skills.
• Awareness of Machine Learning and its benefits for efficiency improvements.
• Experience in ecommerce is preferred to understand operational models.
• Proficiency in data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis.
• Ability to communicate analysis outcomes clearly and concisely.
• A strong academic background in a numerical subject.
• Extensive experience in complex data analysis, proposals, and recommendations.
• Additional experience with Credit risk, risk assessment, SPSS, SAS, or similar packages is a bonus.
