Hudson River Trading (HRT) is seeking highly motivated full-time students to join our Data Science Summer Internship Program. Data is a cornerstone of HRT's trading strategies, powering research, automated trading, and risk management.

Weekly base salary is £4,350, with company-paid housing, meals, and other perks. This internship offers hands-on data work, mentorship, and exposure to HRT's research and trading infrastructure in a dynamic, global environment.

Qualifications

• Full-time student pursuing a degree in a STEM field; computer science background is not required.
• Programming experience with Python at the level of 'Python for Data Analysis' by Wes McKinney.
• A curiosity for working with data and finding insights.
• Independent data projects, kaggle competitions, and similar activities are a plus.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Normalize and validate vendor data for research and trading.
• Extract features from quantitative and textual data.
• Apply rigorous quality checks on data pipelines and sources.
• Investigate methodologies to provide the highest quality data for research and trading.
