Job summary

Zurich 56 Company Ltd is seeking a Data Scientist to join our data science team across underwriting and non-underwriting areas. You will collaborate with data, AI and business experts to support data-led decisions and shape our AI journey.

You will design core systems and data requirements, promote data-centric practices, and work with colleagues across Zurich Group internationally to enhance analytics capabilities.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, structured and interdisciplinary thinking.
• Creative mindset for data problems and ambiguity.
• Proficient in Python and modern software development practices (Git).
• Experience with SQL and large datasets; distributed computing (Spark).
• Experience with LLMs to deliver value in a commercial setting.
• Cloud experience with Azure and/or AWS.

Responsibilities

• Drive data-led decision making by collaborating with stakeholders.
• Apply AI/ML and data science techniques to automate manual work and tell insights through data.
• Promote good data and AI practices, ensure code quality and PR reviews, and share knowledge across teams.
