iwoca is seeking a Data Scientist to join the iwocaPay Risk Squad to own the full credit modelling stack and influence lending terms for SMBs. You’ll co-own models with a teammate, shaping risk strategies in a growing BNPL product.

You’ll work on supervised learning for tabular data, build production models end-to-end, and collaborate with risk, product and leadership to deliver measurable commercial impact. This is a small, fast-moving team with room to grow.

Qualifications

• Supervised ML on tabular data with production models end-to-end.
• Strong probability and uncertainty quantification foundations.
• Ability to scope problems and ship models autonomously in early-stage environments.
• Data engineering: build pipelines and manage datasets alongside modelling.
• AI fluency to build and accelerate analytic work.
• Clear communication with product, risk, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Co-own the full credit modelling stack with another data scientist.
• Collaborate on model design and prioritisation.
