Role: Data Scientist (Customer/Digital/Marketing)

Location: UK, Remote

Business: B2B/B2C – multi-billion £ Global Brand

A unique opportunity to join a very well established, globally recognised player as they begin their Data Science journey.

This is a high value role, with significant opportunity. Multi-million £ global unexploited opportunities.

Supported by a high performing Data Engineering and Analytics team, this role will take a leading role in model development and business optimisation. This role would suit someone commercially minded, that enjoys working closely with business stakeholders to drive opportunity and understands commercial value. it’s not a theoretical role.

W well suited to someone who’s demonstrated the ability to build models (ideally from the ground up) that generate opportunity and commercial value. Likely experienced with Python and SQL. With an opportunity to upskill with AWS and SageMaker

Key areas of the role would include:

  • Working closely with BI & Data Engineering teams and taking a lead role in establishing, building and deploying models.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and various divisional business areas to create opportunities, demonstrate value and gather requirements
  • Highlighting and presenting statistical concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical teams
  • Utilising Python and SQL for Model Development
  • Building and deploying of ML learning solutions to improve business efficiency

Experience required:

  • Must have demonstrable experience in model building
  • Commercially focused – someone that understands business opportunity and can translate into technical requirements and then see through end-to-end deployment
  • Experience with Python and SQL
  • Beneficial – AWS, not essential

This role is fully remote and can be based anywhere in the UK. London, Newcastle, Derby, Leicester, Manchester, Liverpool, Nottingham, Birmingham, Wales, York, Coventry, Edinburgh.
