Data Scientist Consultant Newcastle / WFH to £70k

Do you have data science and data analytics experience combined with excellent communication and client-facing skills?

You could be progressing your career at a top-tier management consultancy expanding in the North East.

As a Data Scientist / Consultant, you'll focus on one project at a time, liaising closely with clients (mainly within finance / banking / big retailers). You'll manage data projects end-to-end, gathering client requirements, managing data collection, model creation and analysis. You will conduct primary and secondary research, address information limitations, produce insights, and oversee data analysts to ensure high-standard project deliverables.

Location / WFH

You'll join the team in Central Newcastle three days a week in a hybrid work model. Please note you will also visit client sites occasionally; all travel and expenses are fully paid.

About You

• You are degree educated, with a 2.1 or above in a relevant discipline, e.g., Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Informatics, or Engineering.
• You have strong experience with analytics and data manipulation software e.g., R, Python, PySpark, SAS, SQL, SPSS.
• You take a consultative approach with polished communication and stakeholder management skills.
• You're able to work independently and take ownership of projects end-to-end.
• You have experience working in specialized consulting firms, top-tier banking, or financial institutions.
