How Specialist Talent Works:

As a permanent employee of Peregrine, with access to all our standard benefits, you will be deployed across our client portfolio as a specialist consultant, working on various complex projects across multiple industries.

Responsibilities:

1. Create data packages in the form of databases, reports, and visualizations.
2. Communicate ongoing data science activities, technical findings, and data products to both technical and non-technical audiences.
3. Extract relevant features from large data stores containing open source, PAI, and CAI data, including handling noisy, partial, or erroneous records.
4. Extract features from open-source information stored in formats such as JSON, XML, raw text logs, industry-specific encodings, and graph link data.
5. Apply natural language processing, computer vision, signal processing, and speech recognition algorithms to identify objects in text, image, video, and audio files.

Skills & Experience:

1. Execute data science methods using parallel computing frameworks (e.g., Deeplearning4j, Torch, TensorFlow, Caffe, Neon, NVIDIA cuDNN, OpenCV) and distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop including HDFS, HBase, Hive, Impala, Giraph, Sqoop; Spark including MLib, GraphX, SQL, DataFrames).
2. Proficient in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Java, Scala, and R (statistics).
