Job summary

Seismic Recruitment is seeking a Data Scientist in Desford, Leicestershire, on a 12-month contract with potential extension. You will extract and transform data, automate processes and build Power BI dashboards to support a major ERP transformation.

You'll work across packaging, supply chain planning and transportation, using SQL, Python, Excel and Power Query to turn complex data into actionable business insights and guide data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Advanced Excel and Power BI for reporting.
• Strong SQL and Python (or similar) for data manipulation.
• Expertise in data extraction, transformation and loading processes.
• Experience building automation or advanced reporting solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and own projects end-to-end.

Up to £22.56 PAYE + Holiday + Pension or £30.89 Umbrella Rate

We're supporting a global engineering and manufacturing organisation seeking a technically strong Data Scientist to help improve how data is extracted, analysed and utilised across the business.

Working across Packaging, Supply Chain Planning and Transportation, you'll drive automation, improve reporting capability and support a major ERP transformation programme, helping turn complex data into meaningful business insight.

The Role

• Extract, analyse and transform data from multiple business systems
• Develop automated solutions to replace manual processes
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting tools
• Use SQL, Python, Excel and Power Query to improve data visibility and reporting
• Connect data from multiple sources to identify trends, gaps and opportunities
